Advanced edition also provides HyperThrottle Cabs that integrate rail traffic workload and layout control, Multi-layout Operations for virtual car forwarding between layouts, Remote Operations to drive trains from a distance, Web Cams, Internet features, and extended DCC support.

Shipper Production and Consignee Consumption

Purpose | Screen Images | Data Description | How to Use

Purpose:

For each commodity that an Industry sells, its shipper production must be specified. This specification includes the average frequency of commodity batches produced and the average number of carloads produced per batch. The desired number of empty cars to be maintained at the stop must also be specified, if any.

For each commodity that an Industry buys, its consignee consumption must be specified. This specification includes the average frequency of commodity batches consumed and the average number of carloads ordered per batch ordered.

Data Description:

Batch/Order Cars - is shipper this is average number of carloads produced per Batch made; for Consignees this is the average number of carloads needed per order

Batch/Order Car Delta - this is a range for the average. If average number of cars per batch or order is 2 and delta is one then the number of cars per batch actually made or requested will range from one to three. The specific quantity will be stochastically chosen.

hh:mm Ld Unld Time - If this is a shipper activity, this is the average number of hours and minutes needed to load the batch of cars produced. If this is a consignee activity, this is the number of hours and minutes required to unload the cars in the order.

hh:mm Load Time Delta - This number creates a range from which the actual load or unload time is chosen stochastically.

nnn.nn hrs Mfg Batch/Order Rate - This is the average number of hours that a shipper requires to create a batch or the consignee to consume an order of carloads.

nnn.nn hrs MB/O Freq Delta - This number creates a range from which the actual production or consumption time is chosen stochastically.

On Hand - its the number of carloads in inventory if this is a shipper activity. This number is kept automatically be MRRM.

On Order - this is the number of carloads on Order if this is a Consignee. This number is kept automatically be MRRM.

Shipper Car Reorder - this is the number of empty cars that the industry wants the railroad to keep at the industry siding if this is a shipping activity
